Diet is extremely
important during the post natal period. The ideal diet
should consist of the following food items |
- Barley, wheat, sastika (varieties of rice), venu
yava (seeds of bamboo), syamaka (a kind of
millet), priyangu (Italian millet) and koradusa
(little millet).
- Sprouts of bamboo, tip of vetra and leaves or
seeds of kalaya, mudga (a kind of bean), harenuka
(pea), kulattha (horse bean), masura (pulse of
lentil).
- Sura, sauviraka, maireya and medaka (different
types of wine).

Intake of guru (heavy)
cereals, oleaginous substances (oily substances) and
meat should be avoided.
|
Apart from diet, the important things that one
should avoid are
- Excessive exercises
- Indigestion
- Excessive Coitus
- Sleeping during the day
