Every society and every religion considers a few objects or events as auspicious and others as inauspicious.
- Curd, ghee, durva (i.e. grass used in worship), mustard and
gorochana (bile extracted from cow's gall bladder) are
considered auspicious.
- Similarly looking at our parents, elders, priests, cow, sacred fire, gold, ghee, sun, and water early in the morning is also termed as auspicious.
By seeing auspicious objects early in the morning one's
mind is filled with peace and happiness and is considered as a
good start for the entire day's work. One should also look at oneself in a mirror as it gives an idea about our appearance, state of health and happiness.
