Playground for children:
Every new activity of a child as well as an adult is initiated with religious ceremony. The conduct and behaviour of the parents, throughout the period of childhood should be exemplary to the child. This shows that Ayurveda gives equal importance to the idea and aims
at underlying any action along with the details of the action itself. The religious ceremony, as prescribed by the
scriptures helps to purify the body and mind. It subdues the effects of destiny or unknown factors.
Ayurvedic texts descriptively expound the nature of kridabhumi or playground fit for a child to play. On the auspicious occasion of 5th or 6th month the infant should be made to sit on the ground with support for sometime. The baby should not be allowed to sit for a long time. The time period should be increased gradually. The baby should be kept under strict vigil of attendant or mother.
