• Hair loss of the head is termed as khalitya.

Palitya

• Hypopigmentation / graying of hair is termed as Palitya.

• It is caused by excessive temper, grief, exercise, exposure to excessive heat and old age.

Treatment of Khalitya & Palitya

1) Mixture of the following

• Loha Choorna

• Bhringraja

• Tri - Phala

• Black Earth

• These things are kept in Sugar - cane juice for 1 month and then applied to hairs.

2) Mixture of the following

• Udad

• Hirakas

• Kanji

• Loha (Iron) and Silver are kept in the above mixture for 3 days and then applied to hair.

3) Mixture of the following:

• Bark of Pundarik Tree,

• Mulethi,

• Pippali,

• Chandan

• Blue Lotus

This mixture is used for Nasya

4) Mixture of the following:

• Loha churna,

• Amra majja,

• Amla

• Haritaki

• Behada

• These are mixed and kept in an Iron container for one night and then applied to hairs.

5) Application of Bhringaraj Ghrita

6) Application of Mixture of Loha churna, Amra, Japapushpa

7) Application of Maltyadi Tel

8) Mixture of milk, Bhrungraja and Til oil is used as nasya.

9) Triphala kwath for hair wash.

10) Application of - Brahmi Amla Tel.
