Every colour has its own vibration.  we are often attracted to the colours . There is great scope within Reiki for complementary healing with colours. This can be effectively carried out during hands on or distant sending Reiki sessions. Visualizing or sending colours is beneficial for the recipient of Reiki, not least because he or she can actively participate, and can continue to do so at home.

Chakras can be nourished with the colours in which they are lacking. A chakra can be energized with the required colour and the effect increased with Reiki energy. Because every colour has a different vibration, we will have a different reaction or response to each one.

If you are feeling blue, send pink. Enjoy a Reiki self-treat, visualizing pale pink if you are feeling sad, or green if you are irritated or angry. You can send Reiki to anything, even visualization.

You can enhance the healing powers of a colour by drinking spring water (left for some time) in a glass container of your chosen colour. The effect of this therapy is increased if you place the container in the sunshine for a few hours, or place Reiki hands on the container.

Soak some blue stones in a bowl of water, and then drink the water. For enhanced effect, treat the stones and the bowl with Reiki.

If you have a sore throat, wrap a cloth of blue colour around your neck; the blue light will help to balance and restore your throat chakra and the surrounding parts. You can give it some Reiki before you put it on.
