according to Ayurveda. Day sleeping is not good for health.

Habit of day sleep vitiates Kapha and causes the following diseases

- Headache;
- Dullness;
- Anorexia;
- Indigestion;
- Diseases of the respiratory tract and
- Weakness of sensory motor organs.

People who are
- Obese;
- Kapha prakruti persons; and
- Those who are addicted to one or the other narcotic.
should avoid day sleep.

Reasons for day sleep

- People who are very old or very young,
- Bed ridden
- Patients suffering from emaciating disease; or
- Those who frequently involve in manual labour
- Mental exertion and sexual activities.
