Local treatment

In this treatment, a selected pole of a magnet is applied directly to the affected part of the body. The selection of the correct pole of a magnet for spot application on the body is very important in magnetic treatment, e.g., the north pole should be applied where there is some bacterial action or infection, while in the case of pain and swelling, the south pole should be used.

 General treatment

In cases where the major portion of the body gets affected by diseases, general treatment is recommended. This treatment is broken up into different rules which are as follows:

  • If the disease lies in the parts above the navel, magnets should be applied in the palms of both the hands of the patient.

  • If the disease is in the parts below the navel, then magnets should be applied under the soles of both the feet.

  • In case the disease spreads to the whole body, treatment may be given alternatively  on palms and soles on alternate days, that is, one day on both hands and the next day on both feet.

  • The north pole should be applied to the right hand or foot and the south pole to the left hand or foot.

In human body each body part is connected with other parts of the body, directly or indirectly, through blood-circulation and nervous system. But the palm is connected to more important organs. The same is the case with our feet. Hence palms of hands and soles of feet are used in general magnetic treatment.
