Many types of sadavas could be prepared by using different fruits having Madhura and Amla rasa with little salt. Dalhana has explained many sadavas, prepared by single fruits
like :
- Kapitha,
- Apakwa Arma,
- Kola,
- Matulunga
- Dalhana's sadava could be compared to squashes.
When all these drugs are mixed well and eaten, it gives contentment and quick nourishment to the body. We may as well compare them to the mixed fruit jam of the present time.
