Work | Biodynamic

Bodywork
is a manipulative technique used for psycho-emotional
work. People practicing it, work on muscles or go deep
into the connective tissues to rebalance the body, mind
and emotions. Some of the major bodywork techniques are
as follows
|
In
1930 biochemist Dr.Ida Rolf discovered the network of connective
tissue encasing every muscle manipulated to rejuvenate a body
that had been pulled out of alignment and was imbalanced,
making the entire body structure weak.
Thus
to
re-align the body structure, one has to improve the general posture,
restoring it to balance and simultaneously improve the all-round physical and emotional health. The primary aim
of Rolfing is to ensure that a body is functioning well with the force of gravity
flowing evenly through it. Such a body spontaneously heals itself.
|
FUNCTION
|
|
Unnecessary
stress on the supporting muscles cause imbalance, thereby losing elasticity, knots and developing adhesions in the connective
tissues. To balance it, an enormous amount of energy is needed.
Rolfing
manipulates the connective tissue allowing the body to move more
appropriately returning to a state of balance. When the body
structure is balanced, the mind, the nervous system with all the organs
and tissues related to it functions more efficiently and the innate
healing system then works at its best.

TREATMENT
|
|
Rolfing
is not only a good treatment for back pain, neck, shoulder and joint
pain but also for asthma and digestive problems. It is also
beneficial for curing emotional problems.
|
SAFE
|
|
Rolfing
is safe for adults and children, not suffering from organic or
inflammatory diseases such as cancer or rheumatoid arthritis. A
modified version of it is safe for women and children suffering from structural problems
such as scoliosis of the spine.
