         Though so many plants labelled as anti-poison are described by scholars, the shirisa plant stands at the top of them. 'Panchashirisa' (containing five parts - bark, root, leaf, flower and fruit of shirisa plant) is a popular anti-poison formulation. 
 
There are 24 types of general treatments in Ayurveda for poisoning which are as follows

  13. Lepa (External application)
     
  14. Hridaya avaran (Protecting and stimulating the heart)
     
  15. Anjana (Application of medicine in the eyes)
     
  16. Nasya (Nasal drops/Inhalers)
     
  17. Dhoom (Medicinal smokes)
     
  18. Leh (Licking semi-liquids)
     
  19. Aushadh (Medicines)
     
  20. Prashaman (Suppression of poison)
     
  21. Pratisaran
     
  22. Prativisha (Antidotes)
     
  23. Sangya-sthapana (Revival of consciousness)
