Psychoneurosis or Mada.

Etiology |

- Eating incompatible, contaminated and unhygienic food.
- Insulting gods, teachers and Brahmins.
- Mental trauma due to excessive fear or happiness.
- Following unnatural activities.

Pathogenesis |
 |
Due to the etiological factors, the vitiated humors in a person with a deficiency of sattva gets localized in the channels of the mind and afflicts its core, the seat of intelligence, deranges the mental functions of the person.
