Sanyas is the next stage of murcha (unconsciousness), if murcha is not treated immediately it causes sanyas and if this stage is not treated early, it can lead to death.

Pathogenesis

When the doshas get more aggravated it blocks the sensory pathways, which leads to a loss of sensory awareness of the body and mind, causing sanyas.

Signs and Symptoms

Patient loses all the sensory perceptions and remains like a log of wood.

Treatment

It is actually very difficult to treat. Medication like Tikshna Anjana (irritant, strong collyriums), Pradhaman nasya (type of nasal treatment) and Trasan chikitsa (treatment given mainly for torturing the person) is administered.
