- Keep
polythene bags and plastic wrap out of your child’s reach.
- Keep
hot drinks away from their reach.
- Always
keep sharp utensils such as knives in a drawer out of your
child’s reach.
- Make
sure that your furniture is sturdy and has rounded legs.
- Always
cover unused sockets with heavy insulating tape.
- Do
not leave cigarette stubs, matches, alcohol or any bottles,
sewing equipment or coins lying around.
- If
your child becomes unconscious, call the doctor immediately.
- Dress
your baby in light clothes preferably cotton, during summer.
- If
your child is suffering from constipation, give him/her plenty
of water or fruit juices to drink.
- Never
leave your baby alone in a baby walker, as it will tip easily.
- While
checking for temperature always tuck the bulb of the thermometer
into your child’s armpit.
