              | Nothing can give you more pleasure
than dressing up your baby. It reminds you of your childhood
days when you used to dress up Barbie dolls. The difference
now being that it is not a doll but your baby and hence you
need to be more gentle. The dressing up stage has been divided
into different parts for your convenience. The first being
dressing -up followed by nappy care and then massage.

                    Hold
the vest with the front facing you and gather it into your
hands. Put the back edge at your baby's crown.
                    With
one swift, gentle movement bring the front edge of the vest
down to your baby's chin. Hold all the fabric gathered up
together and stretch it as wide as you can, so that none of
it drags on his/her face and upsets him/her.
                    Gently
lift your baby's head and upper body and pull the back of
the vest down so it is around his/her neck and lying behind
his/her shoulders. Lower him/her to the mat without jolting.
                    If
your baby's vest has sleeves, stretch it wide, then with the
other hand guide his/her fist into your fingers. Hold your
baby's hand with your, and ease the sleeve over his/her arm
with the other, pull the vest down below his/her arm. Do the
same with the other sleeve, pulling the vest and not your
                    baby.
                    Pull
the vest over his/her tummy. Lift his/her lower body by
his/her ankles and pull the back down. Do up the poppers at
                    the crotch. |

              | If
you are dressing up your baby in a stretch suit |

              |

                    Pick
your baby up while you lay the clean stretch suit out flat
on the changing mat, the front upwards and all the poppers
undone. Lay your baby on top, his/her neck in line with the
                    stretch suits.
                    Gather
up the fabric of one stretch suit leg into your hands, to
open out the foot part. Ease your baby's foot in, getting
his/her toes right into the toe of the suit, and pull the
leg of the suit up. Do the same with his/her other foot.
                    Push
the thumb and fingers of one hand up through one sleeve from
of the sleeve over your hand. Stretch the opening as wide as
you can. With your other had, guide you baby's fist into
                    your first hand.
                    Holding
your baby's hand between your thumb and fingers, ease the
sleeve over your hand and up his/her arm, drawing it up to
his/her shoulders. This way your baby's fingers and nails
                    can't get caught.
                    If
the stretch suit is on the large side, turn back the cuffs
so s/he can explore with his/her hands and learn about
                    his/her body.
                    Do
up all the poppers, starting with the ones around his/her
thighs and crotch and working up to his/her neck. |
