followed:
-
Prevent
vapours entering the eyes, but if in case it happens, wash with
cold water.
-
Before
applying the essential oil to the skin it should be thoroughly
mixed with carrier oil, to prevent the possibility of skin
irritation. If any skin irritation occurs, dilute it with some
more carrier oil. If irritation persists, then discontinue the
use of the formula.
-
Certain
essential oils should not be used during pregnancy due to the

of essential oils is very important for women nursing their
babies because the effects of the oils are transferred to the
infant.

for any reaction or redness after 12 hours. If clear,

used earlier and rub it on the chest. If no reaction is
found on the skin after 12 hours, the
particular essential oil and carrier oil is safe for use.
-
Alcohol
consumption should be prohibited during the use of essential
oils.
-
Use
of the essential oils should be avoided during any ongoing
medication.
-
Some
oils should be used with utmost care, especially by those people
who have a dry skin, as it may be irritating to the
skin. For instance, Cinnamon leaf, Clove bud, Fennel, Gingergrass,
etc.
-

sunbathing or using the sauna or steam room for at least four hours
if you are using citrus, photo toxic, and other essential oils
which irritate the skin.
